Upscale Peconic Bay Rentals
Tucked between Southold and Cutchogue along the shores of Peconic Bay, the hamlet of Peconic is one of the North Fork’s best-kept secrets. Small enough to feel genuinely local and beautiful enough to leave a lasting impression, it offers the kind of unhurried, waterfront escape that is increasingly hard to find anywhere near New York City.
Peconic sits at a natural crossroads of everything that makes the North Fork special. The water is never far. The wine trail runs right through it. Farm stands appear without warning on sun-warmed roadsides, and the pace of life adjusts itself accordingly. Whether you come for a long weekend or more than a week, Peconic has a way of making you feel like you’ve found something most visitors drive right past.

Peconic Sound Beach Cottage Walk to Sound
This was a great spot for our family of four. The house is well-appointed and an easy walk to the beach. Our host provided us with beach chairs and towels, making things easier for us. The host was very responsive to questions and concerns. I would highly recommend this property for your next beach vacation.

What a beautiful place. If you want a peaceful stay full of beautiful surroundings, this is it. The house is just a few feet from the water. Morning coffee watching the sun rise on the beach is just magical. You can see the water from the living room. It’s just lovely. The house itself was fully equipped with everything we needed. Debbie was super sweet and left us a bottle of wine which was a lovely gesture. Everything was just pure perfection.
Steve’s Place | Heated Pool Southold Retreat
We could not have been more happy with our stay. My wife and I were able to work and vacation here with our 14 and 11 year olds and our 2 year old pup. The property is immaculate and the pool and covered porch is everything. Management was incredibly responsive. And we are 100% looking at calendars for another extended stay next summer.

Make the Most of Peconic
Goldsmith’s Inlet County Park is Peconic’s crown jewel, a tucked-away nature preserve where a freshwater creek meets the Long Island Sound in one of the most scenic spots on the entire North Fork. A short walk through coastal woodland brings you to a quiet stretch of shore that draws locals all summer and rewards anyone patient enough to seek it out. Early mornings here are especially worth the effort before heading back to your Luxury Beach Getaway home for a slow breakfast on the deck.
Peconic Bay is a playground for paddlers, anglers, and anyone who simply wants to sit near moving water. Launch a kayak or paddleboard from the bay shore, try your hand at clamming in the shallows, or book a seasonal fishing charter out of nearby Greenport Harbor. After a full day on the water, your Luxury Beach Getaway home is exactly the right place to rinse off, pour something cold, and watch the bay change color as the sun goes down.
Peconic sits in the center of one of the most celebrated wine regions on the East Coast. Raphael is located right in the hamlet itself, and Pellegrini Vineyards and Bedell Cellars are just minutes away in neighboring Cutchogue. Spend an afternoon moving from tasting room to tasting room, or simply pick one vineyard, find a spot on the lawn, and stay a while. Then bring a bottle or two back to your Luxury Beach Getaway home for the evening.
Sang Lee Farms, one of the North Fork’s most beloved organic farms, is right in Peconic and a genuine reason to plan a morning around it. Pick up provisions for dinner at the house, browse the seasonal offerings, or simply enjoy the kind of farm-fresh quality that defines this corner of Long Island. Everything tastes better when you bring it back to a Luxury Beach Getaway kitchen and make it your own.
Cutchogue is just minutes away, with a historic village green and some of the wine trail’s best tasting rooms right on its doorstep. Greenport is a short drive further east and worth every minute for its waterfront dining, independent boutiques, and harbor energy. Both towns make for easy and rewarding day trips, with your Luxury Beach Getaway home in Peconic always a comfortable place to return to at the end of the evening.
