We loved this place! So peaceful and quiet. Lovely beach to walk to. Very responsive hosts- had a slight issue with hot tub and it was handled very quickly and then someone brought us a the best coffee cake. This place felt like the best of Long Island and we are thankful to have stayed!

Stop N Shop only 5 minutes away, Del Fiore’s market in town. Management contact (Debbie) was great – very responsive to my texts, quickly resolved the minor issues we had. Would definitely return in the future.

Excellent location for walking to Sound side of Long Island. We had an excellent shelling experience- so many sea shells!! Close to some good hiking trails and easy to get on the freeway to go Montauk or Greensport. We were not able to get good cell service at the property though. Made communication a challenge, we had Verizon, AT&T, T-mobile and all 3 had weak service, so be prepared to use wi-if calling!! Overall, nice place and would stay there again.

Just a short stay in town for a funeral. Property is beautiful and short walk to the private beach. Had everything we needed. Driving a GMC 2500 Sierra was a little challenging on the narrow roads but it worked out.

We had a wonderful experience at the Dunes Beach House! As a caretaker for my mother I really need some time away, but couldn't be gone for very long. Renting the Dunes Beach House for a long weekend was the perfect option. I was able to relax in a home away from home and was even able to invite my Long Island family over for a barbecue. The house was spacious, nicely decorated, and immaculately clean. The location was easy to find and convenient for visiting the area or just popping over to the grocery store. The house is lovely and has everything one would need for a relaxed beach vacation. The neighborhood is very private and quiet. the view of the Long Island sound from the bedroom balcony is beautiful (especially during sunsets). Everything is in its place. We really enjoyed our long weekend at The Dunes! It is our favorite beach rental. Cozy with lots of character and conveniences. For us it is ideally located to visit our families, our favorite beaches as well the wineries, and the Long Island Aquarium. The unit is always neat and clean and the property managers are ready and available to answer a question or deal with any issues. Can't wait for our next trip!

We loved the location - such easy access to a lovely beach (sand and shingle mix) which was deserted during our stay in July. The house was very comfortable, cute backyard and well stocked kitchen. My husband loved the gaming machine, and although we didn't use them, there was a good selection of beach chairs, kayak, bicycles and outdoor play equipment available. We'd stay here again. Also loved the Broadway Market cafe/restaurant in Rocky Point - it became our local!

This house is gorgeous, so much better than the photos. It's clean and cosy, incredibly well-equipped and has spectacular views. Moments walk from the beautiful quiet beach - a mixture of sand and pebble - and less than an hour's drive from West Hampton and the surrounding public sandy beaches when you want the ocean. So much to do around the area for families - Splish Spkash, the aquarium, plenty of restaurants etc. Debbie & Virginia from Luxury Beachfront Getaway couldn't have been more helpful, we can't wait to go back!

We loved our stay at the Dunes. A perfect getaway. Close to the North Fork wine trail yet away from it all. Beautiful home with every amenity, walks on the beach and gorgeous sunrises and sunsets. Perfect! We checked out a bunch of wineries and will add some of those reviews soon! Kon-to-Kosta, Lenz, Costello Di Borghese, Paumanok, Macari, Roanoke, Jamesport Vineyards, Raphael, Baiting Hollow, Martha Clara, McCalls and Duckwalk (for Port) were all winners. Can't wait to visit again!

Our stay at The Dunes has been a great success. the property was everything as described. Great location, idyllic setting, superbly finished and excellent fixtures and fittings....we thoroughly enjoyed a 4 day chill out after a hectic week in New York and prior to a Transatlantic Crossing back to UK - visited some wineries and explored North & South Fork...a great area - superb countryside, excellent small stores and waterside towns. A magical area.

Great customer service. Responsive and helpful. House was immaculate when we arrived. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a private beach house with amazing views. The description online didn't do it justice. I was overwhelmingly pleased upon arrival. I've stayed on the north fork before and loved it, but this was AMAZING. Hands down one of the best vacation spots on Long Island. We were supposed to arrive on Friday Jan 3, but in light of the "blizzard warnings" we asked if we might come a day early so we would be able to get there before the storm made travel unsafe. They were totally accommodating with reduced price for the extra night and all.
The house is BEAUTIFUL. Glass doors that have an amazing view of the sound, a path to the beach (private~ish beach - I suspect it's shared with the houses in the neighborhood - hard to tell in the winter), which was awesome even in the dead of winter, an outdoor hot tub, also amazing even in (or especially in the dead of winter). The bed had heated blankets. The place was spotlessly clean when we arrived. They had coffee filters! 🙂 It's the small things. I do wish the fireplace had been operational. Ah well, if it had been, I'd need 6 stars for this review, so probably best it wasn't.
Also one of the bedrooms has a balcony. Again, in the winter, no good, but in the summer - phenomenal.
And about a 45 minute drive to some of the best wineries on the north fork (highly recommend Old Field Winery). And Uncle Giuseppe's Marketplace is the spot to go for groceries. Homemade fresh pasta and pasta sauces, great produce section, seriously good coffee selection... cheeses etc. The house has an awesome kitchen too.
I will absolutely try to return here. Next time, in the summer because I want to try out that kayak. 🙂
And they returned my deposit within 24 hours.

This place was fantastic! I liked that it was at the end of a road so it felt more secluded, as much as you can be in Sound Beach. Did not try out the jacuzzi but I know it works, only a short, glute busting workout from the beach, with a beautiful sunset to view every evening. Kayaks were available but unfortunately we were unable to utilize them because of a lack of proper attire. But what was utilized was the fire pit which was fully stocked and PERFECT for a chilly fall night, it was definitely a highlight. I felt so comfy and cozy, and the openness is so pleasant, there's a beautiful seating area of wicker benches where it is so nice to talk and relax. Cooked on the grill, everything came out great. The bedrooms were lovely, the master having a great view of the beach. Everything was clean, stocked and available, there are no complaints. Great stay, I would do it again.

This charming home was the perfect place to get away and relax. Although the wifi was provided, I was very happy to simply turn my cell phone off for a few days and enjoy the shore (just steps away!). The hot tub was clean, the yard was beautiful, and the fire pit was a great place to sit at night. We have already booked the house again and look forward to using the free kayaks on that visit!

My family and I had a great time at the Dunes. It's the perfect family weekend getaway house since its not too far from the city. We were with our 1 year old and the house had a playard and other toys.
We were also able to go to the vineyards.
There's a playard for the baby, bring your sheet or use one of their clean sheets.
All kitchen appliances are new.
Cell phone reception was choppy but there's a landline and wifi to use.
The washer and dryer are also new.
House is clean, basement is organized and have supplies should you need any.
There's a view of the beach from the balcony in one of the rooms.
The tub in the bathroom is a whirlpool one but didn't really get a chance to use it.
The house is not immediately on the beach but it is a very quick walk.
There are chairs and umbrella you can bring to the beach also.
There's a kayak for your use, but also didn't get to use it.

From the minute we put the inquiry in to book this house, it was perfect and accommodating. Debbie and Ginnie have thought of everything, they were very flexible, especially with our inquiry being last minute and from the moment we arrived at the house, we felt like we were at home. There were plenty of towels and the bed/couch was beyond comfortable. We loved the beach, even though it was a little pebbly, we were able to head back to the house and relax on the beautiful back porch while watching the sun go down. The house was also incredibly dog friendly, which made the weekend less stressful for us. There are many grocery stores in the surrounding area, making your stay so much easier. It was a perfect get-away weekend and we can't wait to visit again soon!! This house and home owners will NOT disappoint!

Doing a vacation rental for a near by getaway from NYC was the best travel decision I have made in years! We loved it as a romantic get away and the views of beach and on the beach were amazing. A fantastic house, very comfortable and quiet. The location is excellent and you can get down onto the beach in a matter of minutes. Hot tub was great and whilst we didn't kayak, they are available at the house which is an added bonus. Not sure what this area is like in height of summer, but was perfect for a long weekend in May (think deserted beach, we saw no more than 10 people on the beach in 3 days).
